Re: Excommunicated woman ‘priest’...
its taken 3 years for "fr" anne to be excommunicated????
Father is a masculine title
anne claims calling after Ignation inspiration.....
I wonder who she has been inspired by..to go against Doctrine
handed down from the beginnings of the Church and entrusted
by Jesus to his Male disciples .....mary magdalene wasnt counted
amongst the 12 nor were Martha and her sister Mary nor many
of the other women that faithfully followed Jesus
the priesthood is a calling for men.
The Holy Spirit works through men to bring them to the
sacred priesthood.....i wonder who called anne?
certainly not St Ignatius either

I must add that during my New Testament studies,
the lecturer - female - did push the issue about
women and the diaconate / priesthood.
and how women should have a higher place.
I'm reminded of Jesus' words that who wants to
be great among you will be the least
titles and honours are not part of our faith journey
If we worry about being esteemed and have the highest places
in society then we are not living our call - our mission
I guess the powerful message Jesus gave Satan in a movie short script
when he was being tempted in the Desert was "remember your place...."

Who was it that saw you fall like lightning from heaven?
And it is I who gives authority to those who will trample your snakes and scorpions
and all the power you bring,
for it is written "You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only you shall serve."
Get behind me, Satan

the words are a modern linguistic take on the translation
"He who followeth Me, walketh not in darkness." sayeth the Lord

Re: Excommunicated woman ‘priest’...
People who say this aren't even thinking. Who is the most perfect, fully human creation of God? And who but God has a higher position and esteem than the Queen of heaven and earth? Our personal mediatrix?
What higher place could a woman want, unless they seek to be equal to or surpass God himself?? Woman *is* highly esteemed. And always shall be!

Re: Excommunicated woman ‘priest’...
humility is the key as outlined by the saints
these women perhaps instead might think of their role in best serving the church and mission in other capacities than self ordaining themselves as "priests"......most sacriligious....
I've mentioned it before and I know it sounds harsh, but this is our faith......those contra to the faith, well there are other christian denominations that broke away and have separate rules......this saddens me to write as one of my intentions is always that not one soul be lost.....but some just dont want to adhere to the faith and make their own faith and "ordain" themselves....

Yes, instead of being made in the image and likeness of God, some want God to be made in their image and likeness. It just doesn't work that way no matter how hard they try.but some just don't want to adhere to the faith and make their own faith and "ordain" themselves.
