PapaB had a unique ability to synthesize the patrimony of the Church and the solutions to the crises the world (and the Church) faces now. I've thought his primary contribution has been in the "Dynamic Continuity with the Past", especially in resolving the confusion and fragmentation in the Church that followed V2.
