:D He's a wonderful man. I've got some of his books (not all of which i've cracked yet).. all 3 volumes of Jesus of Nazareth; Behold the Pierced One; Salt of the Earth; Mary: The Church at the Source (with Hans Urs von Balthasar).. such a penetrating intellect.. he's fascinating and inspiring.

I knew Maccabees formed one of the Scriptural foundations of Purgatory, one reason i would assume it was not included in the Protestant Bible.

There's great consistency amongst Catholic mystic's visions of Hell. I just read a book containing the poetry and meditations of the great 19th Century English convert, priest and poet Gerard Manley Hopkins including that on Hell.. brrrr..
