For the liturgy, "through which the work of our redemption is accomplished," (1) most of all in the divine sacrifice of the Eucharist, is the outstanding means whereby the faithful may express in their lives, and manifest to others, the mystery of Christ and the real nature of the true Church.
Italian religious journalist Bruno Volpe interviews Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos for his website Pontifex, and asks him about the interpretive instruction on the motu proprio Summorum Pontificum. The Cardinal confirms once again that the instruction is now in the Pope's hands.
[Bruno Volpe]: The by now famous instruction on the Motu Proprio that liberalized the Mass according to ancient Roman rite: at what stage is it?
[Cardinal Castrillon:] "In the Pope's hands, it pertains only to him now. Let us trust in the Pope's wisdom."
Thanks Jeff. I am totally confident that whatever the Holy Father does with anything in "his hands" will be wonderful.
Blessings
