The above link is a long read but worth the time to study this. Mike Garde earned his M.A. in Theology by showing how a destructive cult (the Magnificent Meal Movement), which started out very orthodox, and attracted very good and holy people based on lies and claims of supernatural revelations. The harm done to those supporting these claims will give great warning to those following other mystics, who for the time being seem to bring nothing but good fruits. The MMM movement existed for a long time before completely leaving the Church, condemning Rome and creating their own priests. It is a warning to those who find nothing wrong with mystics for now, but in time can lead to great harm.
