DECLARATION

Having seen the declaration of 30th June 1968, with which my predecessor of beloved memory, Bishop Luigi Morstabilini, strongly deplored that in the locality of Fontanelle di Montichiari, a devotion had been fostered and he went so far as to exhort all the faithful not to support either with publications or with pilgrimages the spreading of these devotions. They are founded on an interpretation of events which has not been objectively checked nor responsibly evaluated, therefore they are not approved.

Having taken note of all that I stated in the declaration of the 15th October 1984 in which I made public that the so called apparitions of the Madonna "Mystical Rose" at Montichiari "do not present reasons for credibility," therefore the associated devotion "is not approved and may not be practised nor fostered" and that "whoever fosters it, by spreading publications or organising pilgrimages .... upsets the believers' faith causing them to act against the guidelines of the Church."

On account of the many requests which continuously come from both Italy and abroad

DICHIARAZIONE

Visto II comunicato del 30 giugno 1968, col quale II mio predecessore di venerata memoria, Mon. Luigi Morstabilini, deplorava 'vivamente che, in detta locailta Fontanelle di Montlchiari, venga favorito un culto' e pertanto esortava 'vivarnente tutti i fedeli ... a non favorire né con pubblicazioni né con pellegrinaggi la diffuisione di devozioni che si fondano su non approvata interpretazione di fatti né obiettivamente controllati né responsabilimente valutati';

Preso atto da quanto da me comunicato con la dichiarazione del 15 ottobre 1984, nella quale rendevo pubblico che Ie cosiddette apparizioni della Madonna "Rosa Mistica" a Montichiari non presentano motivi di credibilita' perciò il culto relativo 'non è approvato e non può essere praticato né fkvorito' e che 'chiunque lo favorisce, diffondendo pubblicazioni o organizzando pellegrinaggi ... turba la fede dei credenti inducendo ad agire contrariamente alle disposizioni della Chiesa';

Tenuto conto dei vari solleciti che ci vengono continuamente richiesti in merito, sia dall'Italia che dall'estero,

riconfermo

quanto disposto da me e dal mio predecessore.

In a nutshell, the document dated in 2001 by the new bishop reiterates and upholds all that his predecessors have stated. "Rosa Mystica" is a fake! Don't buy into it!

I have sent a letter in italian to the Bishop's office in Brescia asking for an official english translation to post here and to pass on to all of our local parishes in Dallas. It appears we have a local "cult" around here promoting this false apparition.

I see on a local flyer advertising this stuff that they have actually called August 25th, Feast of Our Lady Mystical Rose? What is wrong with that picture? How can there be a Feast Day for something that does not exist? They are charging $25.00 for adults and $10.00 for kids to attend this "celebration", saying that the money goes to help seminarians. Hum..... They want you to make out the check payable to them. How very strange.

Their flyer also shows pictures of seminarians that they say they are supporting but if you look at the pictures real close, the photos appear to be very old photos and all these guys are supposedly from different countries. Surprise, non efrom the USA. From my experience if one is going to send money to support a seminarian, the money goes straight to the seminary in the name of the seminarian.

Something is rotten in the state of Texas.
