The King’s Good Servant and Conscience

Post by Denise »

However, the famous phrase – “I die his majesty’s good servant, but God’s first” – is not what St. Thomas More said.

2 brilliant saints : St Thomas More and John Henry Newman.

I was blessed to learn much about them from my spiritual director (now deceased) who was a professor emeritus of history and spirituality and an expert on them both.

He brought them both to life through their works
may all 3 of them rest in God's eternal peace

June has prayed often for the intercession of St. Thomas More since Joe died 7 months ago. So much legal "stuff" to deal with. He had helped her through most of it and there is still more to deal with, so I ask St. Thomas to take care of this widow as the bible instructs.

indeed amen.

St Thomas More was brilliant such that none could refute him.
His trial was a farce of inconsistent fake accusations and false witnesses.
His execution an unjust tragedy.

We pray for innocent people who have to endure injustices
God hears them
