TWO ARCHBISHOPS AGREE ON REVERENCE...
Devotion to the souls in Purgatory contains in itself all the works of mercy, which supernaturalized by a spirit of faith, should merit us Heaven. de Sales
Re: TWO ARCHBISHOPS AGREE ON REVERENCE...
kneeling is the logical thing to do in the presence of the Lord
"He who followeth Me, walketh not in darkness." sayeth the Lord
Re: TWO ARCHBISHOPS AGREE ON REVERENCE...
i'm reminded of the Indiana Jones film i saw ages ago
the quest for the Holy Grail, the chalice that Jesus himself drank from at the Last Supper before
his arrest
the knights templar were guarding it but they were dying out so made a trap so that it wouldnt fall
into others hands that might use it inappropriately
they put the cup among hundreds of others on a large altar style table
and there were traps for all who approached
decapitated heads lay all around of those who
tried to steal it
indiana arrives and the only clue is "a penitent man..."
so he is walking towards the cups and reciting the clue over
and over so he can get an idea what it means
decapitated heads all around of others who failed to guess the clue
then it clicks as he approaches..... "a penitent man falls face down in the presence of the Lord..."
he does so as these massive guillotines shoot out of the walls and would have decapitated him
if he were not face down on the floor
interestingly the Spirit is telling us something from this nudge about the film

When I was a child, i always imagined that if i saw Jesus face to face, I'd run up and give him a huge bear hug.MarieT wrote: Tue Apr 29, 2025 6:18 pm kneeling is the logical thing to do in the presence of the Lord
Since I've grown and become Catholic, I know very well that kneeling (if my joints allow) is the only way. And yes, it is very logical. Any Catholic should know this just by attending mass.
