Post by Denise »

Saint Mary Euphrasia Pelletier, born Rose Virginia Pelletier, was a remarkable 19th-century French nun and the founder of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd. Born in 1796, she dedicated her life to helping women and girls in vulnerable situations, offering them shelter, education, and compassion. Her relentless efforts to rescue women from the margins of society earned her the title of “Rose of Mercy.” With a heart full of kindness and a spirit of unwavering determination, she established Good Shepherd homes worldwide, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of countless individuals. Canonized in 1940, her legacy continues to inspire people globally, reminding us of the transformative power of love and kindness.
