Bergoglio stumbles as part of walking cane breaks off

Post by MarieT »

Pope Francis stumbled briefly on Saturday (February 1) after a part of his walking cane broke as he arrived to hold a Jubilee audience with pilgrims at the Vatican.

The pontiff regained his balance quickly with the assistance of his aide and carried out walking to his seat.

Francis, who has led the 1.4 billion-member Catholic Church since 2013, turned 88 in December and often uses a cane or a wheelchair to move due to knee and back pain.

He doesn't look well at all.
Devotion to the souls in Purgatory contains in itself all the works of mercy, which supernaturalized by a spirit of faith, should merit us Heaven. de Sales
