Light in the Desert-Jubilee Lenten Resource

In this forum you can write about your relationship with the Lord, your spiritual life, devotions you may take part in, works of Mercy you have done, what apostolates you are part of, ask for prayer, talk about the heavenly family (The Saints, Holy Mother, The Lord), talk about the triumphs in your life, and the misfortunes in your life.

Light in the Desert-Jubilee Lenten Resource

Post by MarieT »

February commences tomorrow and I must profess I am still in the joy of Christmas mode.
Reality hits with this email I received.

Praying all will have a blessed Lent and if you believe this resource may be of help, please feel free to download and meditate on it.

New Lenten Resource - Light in the Desert
As parishes and communities prepare for Lent, we are delighted to release a new small-group Lenten resource ‘Light in the Desert’ on The Summit website.

Perfect for any level of formation, each week includes an excerpt from the Sunday Gospel, a short reflection introducing key themes, an excerpt from a Vatican II document, and questions to prompt deeper.

The purpose of 'Light in the Desert' is to kindle a fire in people’s hearts and help them fall in love anew with Jesus Christ.

Thanks Marie. Yes, Christmas ends here Sunday, Feb 2nd, Candlemas. Lent begins March 5th, which will be here in no time.
Devotion to the souls in Purgatory contains in itself all the works of mercy, which supernaturalized by a spirit of faith, should merit us Heaven. de Sales

Everything is so plain once the tree and decorations are gone.
