The Beginning of the End of Recreational Catholicism

Post by Denise »

While Recreational Catholicism—the tangled knot of the therapeutic, political, theatrical, and ego-massaging trend besetting the Church—has had its day, we are now on the cusp of a resurrection.

Devotion to the souls in Purgatory contains in itself all the works of mercy, which supernaturalized by a spirit of faith, should merit us Heaven. de Sales

Gone are the days.....i keep hearing....

we must remain focussed on our mission
we are here for a reason
every life is not to be thrown in the lost sea of nothingness...of wandering aimlessly
it is created for a purpose

you are created to touch the people that God has put in your path
as they are created to touch you
you may not realise it now but many times in hindsight it comes to surface

a conversation holds hidden messages, a remark, a gesture

from the creation of the perfect world, where sin entered because the created humans
fell from listening to what was instructed of them by God, and being coerced and finding the other side
more pleasureable to the eye .......to the time of Abraham when God created a covenant, then Moses....

"you will be my people.....a priestly nation".....to the rest of the world

to the time of Jesus, when salvation was offered for all, not just the Jews but all....

a priestly nation - it asks us to keep spreading the word, to teach by example, to live the gospel values,
so that the rest of the world can see and want to be part of that incredible "family"

we all know why the world is attempting to remove God from the picture, from the governments, from the schools,
from the very media or shows or movies that are created to brainwash....

but as st francis said " a flicker of a light can dispel total darkness"
and in a world gone terribly wrong.......be that light
"He who followeth Me, walketh not in darkness." sayeth the Lord
