I know some French but not a lot. Dad didn't speak English until he was 8 years old. Back then you could not attend school unless you spoke English so he was 8 when he started school. Anyway, when big brother was about two dad decided that he would teach us French. He sat Dale on the bed and started speaking to him in French. Dale fell off the bed laughing and it insulted dad I think. He decided right then not to teach us. I wish he'd tried with me but Dale ruined that.
