Stephen is an amazing human being. Yes, he is a bit flustered that this has taken so long but when he is feeling well you wouldn't believe the things he does around here. You would think he is totally fine.

I mentioned before that he climbed on the roof to trim a tree back, climbed on the roof and took down this steel pole and cut it down and put it back, put together a large garden cart my brother gave us for Christmas, installed a new French sink and fixture in the kitchen, is building another guitar, grilled baby back ribs for me on the 3rd day of Christmas and the list goes on. He has done all this within the past month or so. When he starts to feel weak he gets in the bed and relaxes.

My prayer is that they go in and find nothing or next to nothing. All my 1st class relics are in the room with him and I have them all facing him. They are watching over the situation. 😉

Surgery begins at 8:30 AM tomorrow morning. He went for his class and instructions this morning. They still don't know what they will have to do until they get in there and look. I pray that God, in His mercy, allows this to be minimal. Please remember him in your prayers.

At 1:40 PM and I talked to the doctor and she told me everything went perfect and he tolerated everything well. She sounded very upbeat about it and said there was no unforeseen problems. Success! She said that he is still groggy and in the recovery room. Thank you Jesus and thank all who prayed for him. Please continue; he will have a rough two weeks ahead of him.

Thanks Gayle, love you too!

They have already made him get up to eat and he said they will make him walk after. I told him that would happen but I don't think he believed me. His throat is sore from that tube they had down it and his abdomen hurts but he has plenty pains meds going on. He hasn't lost his sense of humor though.

When the doctor went in this morning to talk to him she said he was doing very well but then she noticed a blood clot in his drain tube in his abdomen. She started tugging on it to make the clot come out and he said he was hollering pretty loudly. Poor thing. He said that was very painful. They gave him so pain meds after. She also said he might come home tomorrow but he isn't comfortable with that and will ask to stay until Friday, which was the plan in the first place.

Ow ow ow. :( :( :(
Prayers going up for a speedy and pain free recovery. May tugging on his tube be the worst of it and not need to happen again.

Stephen was chuckling last night telling me he dreaded the removal of the tube. I had to be honest and tell him it won't feel good but they yank it out fast. Been there done that 😏

I just got back from picking Stephen up from the hospital. He is sore but other than that he said he feels good. There is so much to learn and do but we will get through it with God's help. 😊 Thanks to all who prayed for him and please keep him in mind when you can.
