In February of 2006, I'd contacted Colin Donovan at EWTN and politely asked if he'd update the information on EWTN's website concerning Medjugorje. There was new communication from Bishop Peric and it was important that EWTN make some corrections to the information they had on their website...writings by Colin Donovan.
During the communications with Mr. Donovan, he bluntly told me that Rome had taken the case from the Bishop of Mostar and that it was ok to go there. I replied that he had his facts wrong and explained myself. I asked him to provide me with a Protocol # for this action from Rome and he couldn't do it.
He basically talked down to me like I was the Idiot of Seville. He also thought he was talking to a man because I just signed my emails "semperficatholic." He still doesn't know that he was corresponding with a woman. I hope he doesn't speak to those he knows are women the way he spoke to me. I still have the emails.
ANYWAY.....I was never so happy in all my life to hear a recent broadcast. Go HERE and read Diane's blog entry and there are links to the audio
I was actually very happy about this. When someone with so much clout comes out with the truth when they had been in such error it is time to rejoice loudly.
From the mouth of Colin Donovan...YES!

Devotion to the souls in Purgatory contains in itself all the works of mercy, which supernaturalized by a spirit of faith, should merit us Heaven. de Sales
