There will be no homily from Fr. Paul for the 2nd Sunday in Advent 2008

St. William's hosted special guests on the Second Sunday of Advent and the Feast of the Immaculate Conception 2008

There is a young man from our parish who is studying with the Franciscans of the Immaculate Conception. You know him as Brother Aaron Fowler, the son of John and Meg Fowler. Months ago he began his time as a novice – his NOVITIATE – and he was given the name Brother Lawrence.

Brother Lawrence returned to Greenville on December 6th and with him a Franciscan Priest of the same order, Brother Angelo. Brother Angelus preached at all of the Masses on December 6th and 7th and 8th. Here you can listen to the homily by Brother Angelo on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The young man in the beginning of the video is Aaron, Brother Lawerence.

How special this weekend was for our parish. The young women of our Sodality of Our Lady of Lourdes celebrated the end of the Jubilee Year. The area across from the Church which continues to be enhanced was blessed on December 8th as a “Garden of the Immaculata.” View video of blessing and procession.

The blessing of the garden began following the 11am Mass, on Monday, December 8th.
