Children's book on Benedict XVI has Pope's secretary as contributor
Rome, Oct. 4, 2007 (CWNews.com) - Msgr. Georg Ganswein, the private secretary to Pope Benedict XVI (bio - news), has contributed a foreword to a new book for children about the life of the Pope.
Chico and Joseph, an Italian-language book by Jeanne Perego, uses a fictional cat as the first-person narrator to trace the life of the Pontiff. In the 44-page book, which capitalizes on the Pope's well-known affection for cats, the feline narrator recounts the life of his "best friend" from the time of his birth through his papal election.
