Interview/Cardinal Arinze on Cardinal Ratzinger/Pope B16

Post by Denise »

I love this Cardinal and always wished he would be elected Pope. Like we say in Texas, "He shoots straight from the hip." This should be watched by all faithful Catholics and sent to the lukewarm.

He is a great figure and sadly wasnt elected as Pope. He would have been a great Pope.
His loyalty to Pope Benedict was most commendable.
I recall when he was interviewed after Benedict's resignation, he was sad, shocked and said the other cardinals were also when the announcement was made. They never would have expected that to occur.

found it
Cardinal Arinze on Pope Benedict's resignation

"...it was a surprise...like thunder that gives no notice that it's coming..."
"...the cardinals each one looked at the other in silence, in surprise, but it was clear what he said....at the end there was silence...."
