Devotion to the souls in Purgatory contains in itself all the works of mercy, which supernaturalized by a spirit of faith, should merit us Heaven. de Sales

Hi Lisa,
there are many wonderful explanations of the Trinity such as one of St patrick plucking a three leaf clover to explain the Trinity to the people of Ireland.

As the clover has three distinct leaves but is only one clover so also God has three distinct persons while remaining one God.

God is capable of anything :)

Lisa, the trinity is a mystery. It really isn't easy for anyone to understand or explain. Don't feel bad if you just don't get it right away. The good news is that you wouldn't have a desire to know if He didn't put it there. Keep praying and trying to learn. The rest will happen in His time.
