Fr. Paul

In this forum you can write about your relationship with the Lord, your spiritual life, devotions you may take part in, works of Mercy you have done, what apostolates you are part of, ask for prayer, talk about the heavenly family (The Saints, Holy Mother, The Lord), talk about the triumphs in your life, and the misfortunes in your life.

Fr. Paul

Post by Denise »

I'd emailed Fr. Paul and asked if he could drive out to our house and hear our confessions and bring us Communion Friday or Saturday. I am sharing his reply because it is concerning the Holy Rosary

We started opening the Church today, 9am, for the first time since the lockdown.
On the Old Calendar today is the Feast of St. Monica. Ha!

When I go I can bless your home too, if you wish. I can also bless some St. Torelli Water if you want to get some bottled water. Those are suggestions only.

Saturday looks good; That way Stephen can be there too. I'll call when I get the info. Things are upside-down with all of this COVID stuff.

Below is something I mentioned yesterday in an email.

May God bless you!
Fr. Paul

To pray the Rosary according to the Mind of Christ and His Church is a Bible study. And, today is Good Shepherd Sunday. Christ is the Good Shepherd. And Our Lady is the Mother of the Good Shepherd.

When we pray the Rosary well we listen to the Voice of the Good Shepherd in a way which He and His Mother recommend. We hear His Voice and the voice of His Mother too.

Today or tomorrow begins the 9 days BEFORE the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. They had the pandemic of the Spanish Flu. Our Lady's soothing voice directed them so well. How? It was the Voice of her Son which they heard when they prayed the Rosary.

Sheep cannot read or write. They can't even hold a pencil or type on a cell phone. But they can listen and hear. When we pray the Rosary or attend Mass or watch it on TV we hear His Voice. We are His sheep.

Without the Good Shepherd and His soothing Voice we feel abandoned and alone. That's because we have abandoned Him and socially-distanced ourselves from Him. That's never a good idea.
Devotion to the souls in Purgatory contains in itself all the works of mercy, which supernaturalized by a spirit of faith, should merit us Heaven. de Sales
