Devotion to the souls in Purgatory contains in itself all the works of mercy, which supernaturalized by a spirit of faith, should merit us Heaven. de Sales
Re: ‘Whore of Babylon’
It doesn't surprise me that this might be true. It is still troubling though. Then again, people thought all kinds of things about Vatican II. There is a line that will surely need discernment and prudence and everything else.

Vigano and Schneider, and Burke and Strickland and others must be cringing
Vatican II did not break doctrine, but allowed the Pope and his bishops to exercise their powers for the good of the church in the times it found itself in. it was called because some of the changes were already being enacted without authority and needed addressing. For example, the latin mass was being said in the vernacular.
The bishops have authority to explain the doctrine for the modern times, but have no authority to change the teachings as handed down from the days of the apostles.
Francis has overstepped his role and sadly abominable things have occurred. When the bishops including the bishop of Rome(the Pope) meet together, the Holy Spirit is present guiding. When there is discord, the Spirit is not there. All these leading Cardinals and bishops and archbishops were removed by francis, resulting in a break of the College of Bishops which is a grave sin of tampering with the unity and Collegiality.
God will step in at the right time, He is so merciful allowing more time for redemption and spirit filled ministry....alas for francis, it will not fare well for him if he does not change his ways.
