Pope, in new interview, suggests hell may be empty

Post by Denise » Mon Jan 15, 2024 6:03 pm

This brings to mind what St. Pio told a man who said he didn't believe in hell,
You'll know when you get there!

Hell may be empty? This contradicts everything I've ever learned?

francis also contradicts the saints who were given visions of the souls in hell in torment
has francis become a self proclaimed visionary now to contradict the saints?

My sentiments exactly.

Opinion: The real problem the Pope’s remarks about hell

There is a real and necessary responsibility that comes with the Petrine office, and it’s irresponsible to toss out personal opinions in a way that is confusing and lacking vital context.

yes indeed this is the issue and francis has been advised by his high ranking bishops, cardinals etc, but removes them and accuses them of all sorts of things against him

The Pope's role is to safeguard the Deposit of Faith. He cannot change any of it. He can only adapt how it is taught in changing times.

This is something that Cardinal Burke (and others) have tried to bring to francis' attention, but suffered for the "audacity" of it....

Many of the hierarchy believe that francis is not fit for the role and while many may question why he was chosen, we must not forget that humanity does not know the mind of God, nor does God think as we do.

God wants all to be saved otherwise Cain wouldnt have been granted God's protection of a curse on anyone who would harm him (despite his murdering of Abel, his brother)......otherwise Jacob wouldnt have been granted the 12 sons that comprised the 12 tribes of israel (after he cheated his older brother from his rights, nor deceived his father to get the blessing due to the first born son).....otherwise King David would not have been permitted to continue reigning after he wanted the wife of another and had her husband killed in front line battle for his own purposes....

God has a plan for francis....we await as the narrative unfolds.....
