Varga’s last few words, “Thank you Jesus. I am going Mom,” were uttered just before succumbing to the injection, with his mother declaring, “I love you so much, Kevin.”

Before he was executed, Beuke said he had experienced a conversion while in prison. Apologizing to the victims’ family members, he asked “that God will ease the pain I have caused my victims” and prayed the Hail Mary repeatedly before his death.

John Alba
A Collin County man, asking forgiveness for killing his estranged wife, was executed Tuesday evening for forcing his way into a neighbor's apartment and shooting his wife not long after he had been released from jail on bail on a child molestation charge.
When a warden asked whether he had a final statement, John Alba, 54, said, "I wish I could go back and change it, but I know I can't."
