Norms Released/Presumed Apparitions and Revelations

Heresy experiments in distortion; orthodoxy developes in proportion. The false emphasis is not only a wrong in itself but it is used as a means of diverting the eyes of men in the wrong direction. Van Zeller

Post by Denise » Wed May 23, 2012 7:02 am

The 1978 Norms Regarding the Manner of Proceeding in the Discernment of Presumed Apparitions or Revelations have just been published. They were originally drafted by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith to help bishops.

Cardinal William Levada of the CDF explains the decision to publish them now for the whole Church in his new Preface.

Preface to Norms Regarding the Manner of Proceeding in the Discernment of Presumed Apparitions or Revelations
