Pope Benedict's exhortation Verbum Domini

For the liturgy, "through which the work of our redemption is accomplished," (1) most of all in the divine sacrifice of the Eucharist, is the outstanding means whereby the faithful may express in their lives, and manifest to others, the mystery of Christ and the real nature of the true Church.

Pope Benedict's exhortation Verbum Domini

a great document from Pope Benedict XVI on the Word of God - Sacred Scripture.

Note the opening joy by this great Pope as he outlines the Synod and giving his expert feedback on discussions....regarding the success of the synod.
...we find ourselves before the mystery of God, who has made himself known through the gift of his word. This word, which abides for ever, entered into time. God spoke his eternal Word humanly; his Word “became flesh” (Jn 1:14)
and what a mystery it is......God speaks into existence all of creation.....and now enters our realm....into time and space - in flesh

When reading the Old testament of the Catholic Bible, one notices the recurrence of the Divine Plan to enter into relationship with His creation. Man through sin, constantly impedes this, but God in His mercy spoke to all through prophets and then through Jesus to continuously rectify the situation......there are consequences and guiding and leading to the path one must take...

Scripture tells us that finally God will convert all....putting into their hearts the way.

Interestingly a Theology lecturer once posed the question: How does God communicate? Does God speak in human words? Read the Bible and see how you would answer this question.

Verbum Domini
"He who followeth Me, walketh not in darkness." sayeth the Lord
