These "cute little dolls" (HA) are hand made by folks of various pagan faiths and who knows what "prayers" could be recited over them?? So be smart stay away. VooDoo is not just an ancient "superstition". It's one of Satan's favorite games! The Bruha, Shaman, Aztec and everyday witchdoctor have all played these games with devastating results.
It is also important to note that there is an increase of the combination of VooDoo with Catholic practices, especially in the southern island regions of the Western world. Do not be decieved!
Stay informed and stay away. For centuries "evil energy" has been attached to these items. Buy a Gumby doll for your key chain instead!!
A side note: This article is interesting in that in one paragraph it speaks of the attraction of these dolls by the "mystery" surrounding them. Then it closes with the assertion that the dolls are harmless. HUMMM....discern.

New craze is a whole lot of mumbo jumbo

VOODOO DOLLS have always been synonymous with evil and the mystical. Not anymore. They are now collector’s items among teenagers and youth.
Rope dolls such as these are popular buys at the Presents 4 Them outlet in 1 Utama.
At Presents 4 Them kiosk in 1Utama shopping complex (new wing), teenagers can buy any kind of soft toys, but most opt for the voodoo dolls instead.
Marketing manager Michelle Puah said MindChisel Sdn Bhd did brisk business with the dolls that it opened two more outlets in MidValley Megamall and Suria KLCC. The trend, she said, began late last year.
“Today, it has become hip in the Klang Valley after being in vogue in the Middle East, Europe and United States for a while.
Voodoo dolls made of felt look good when hung on bags.
“The Westerners are open to the idea of having such dolls, finding them cool and unique,’’ said Puah. “Like wrist bands, they give those who carry them an identity or an aura of mystery about them.’’
The voodoo dolls are usually made of felt and are stitched together. Most have distinctive, big, red mouths and large eyes. Others look like Egyptian mummies while some have rope and wires strapped around them.
“A number of these dolls are brought in from Thailand,’’ said Puah. “And, they are all hand-made and painted by skilled and creative craftsmen,’’ she said.
Stocks are replenished monthly at Presents 4 Them, an outlet that opened at 1Utama in May. The dolls come in various shapes, sizes, colours and names. “The rope dolls have names that go like these - Red Devil, Bad Boy and Angel,’’ said Puah, adding that one even came with an Afro hairdo.
Voodoo dolls aren’t a craze among the youngsters only. “Even adults in their 40s buy them, especially those that come in key chains, caps, bags and hand phone covers,’’ said Puah, adding that most parents, too, had no qualms about buying voodoo dolls for their children.
The dolls give hand phones character, too.
“People generally have the perception that voodoo dolls are wicked stuff with magical powers to cast evil spell on someone,’’ she said. “But, our dolls are harmless, fun and cute.’’
Some people hang the bigger dolls on car windscreens while others attach them to their bags and caps. “Couples don the Cupid rope doll as it comes in a pair,’’ said Puah.
Prices for the smaller dolls range from RM8.90 to RM19.90. The bigger ones can fetch up to RM39.90 each.
