What a comforting thought that He doesn't give up on us. If only I didn't keep getting in the way, His work in me could be done by now.

This touched my heart. Trials and/or temptations that come are not just hardships to weather, they are opportunities to sanctify ourselves if we but choose the right actions as they come.

As a convert myself, I can attest to how awesome RCIA is. I used to be involved in this process as a Catholic, and hope to be able to be involved again once my kids are older.
